The process of cleaning your commercial slurry machine depends on the type of machine you have. For example, if you have a countertop slushy machine, the process will be different from if you have a freestanding unit.
Regardless of the type of machine you have, it is important to clean your commercial slush machine regularly. This is to maintain its efficiency and to avoid any contamination or freezing problems in the future.
The following lists the possible faults of the slurry machine, their causes and treatment methods. For simple faults in general, you can follow the treatment methods in the table. If the fault still cannot be eliminated, and for more complex faults, please contact a professional repairer or call the company immediately. Do not handle the machine hastily, so as not to bring you unnecessary losses.

Slurry mixture does not freeze |
1. Insufficient sugar in the mixed solution 2. No air circulation 3. Clogged condenser |
1. Add syrup to the solution 2. Remove debris from around the machine and leave a 15 cm space on the sides and back of the machine 3. Clean the condenser once every fortnight |
The compressor is a major component of the slushy machine and is one of the most expensive replacement parts. Overheating of the compressor may cause damage. To avoid this, ensure that the machine is placed in a well-ventilated area. Leave at least 15 cm of space around the machine. The vents on the machine must not be blocked.
The condenser can be found inside the side panel (it can be easily removed). It collects dust and grease from the fan, if not cleaned, can cause problems such as stopping your solution from freezing.
If cleaning is necessary (to allow air to circulate), remove the side panel and brush the dust off with a soft brush. You can also use a vacuum hose to absorb it.
The machine has 2 temperature settings, "" is the freezing mode and "" is the chilled drinks and night mode. At the end of the day, switch the switch from freezing to chilled mode. This will allow the ice to thaw gently and keep the mixed drinks chilled overnight.
Failure to use the night mode setting may result in the ice not thawing properly, so the mixing shaft may break if you turn the machine on in the morning.
You must maintain your commercial slurry machine so that it can work at its best and provide your customers with the best quality drinks. Your machines need to be cleaned after each use so that they do not become dirty and cause bacteria to grow and produce poor quality beverages. Also, you need to check them regularly for any damage or faults so that you can fix them before things get worse.
Commercial slush machines are important for businesses looking to provide refreshing drinks to their customers, so it's vital to keep your machines maintained. This will ensure that your machine is running properly and that it lasts a long time.
To produce a consistent and tasty smoothie, the correct drink concentrate is required. The 'consistency' of the mixture depends on the correct sugar to water ratio. Essentially, the sugar acts as an 'anti-freeze' in the mixture, preventing the ice crystals that form from binding together and forming solid ice cubes.
A typical slushie machine has three main parts: a mixing bowl (or 2 or 3 of them), a freezing core and a spiral mixing paddle that rotates around the core. A thermostat controls the freezing core to bring the slush mixture down to the desired temperature, while the blending paddle constantly scrapes the slush away from the core.
If you have one of our machines and it is operating within the ideal parameters, you may be able to dispense the slush into your glass in 15-30 minutes (depending on ambient temperature, water temperature, blending and machine efficiency).
The speed at which the slush freezes will depend on the initial temperature of the slush mixture, the ambient temperature and the airflow around the machine. For example, if you leave your machine in direct sunlight on a 40 degree day and fill it with a warm mixing solution then you will wait a long time to get the slush. Basically all smoothie machines are designed to operate in an indoor environment. They will also perform well in outdoor conditions as long as you find a good shady spot. To freeze slush quickly in extreme conditions, we recommend pre-chilling the mixture in a fridge or freezer before putting it into the machine.
A constant freezing/chilling environment greatly reduces the rate of deterioration of the machine's contents.
However, it needs to be cleaned regularly and the recommended frequency depends on the type of product - every three days if it contains dairy products, and much less frequently for fruit syrups.
For moderate to heavy use, we recommend taking the machine apart every two to four weeks for cleaning and disinfecting.
Of course you can! You can put fizzy water or soft drinks in the slush machine without any problems.
Bottled sodas and canned soft drinks work best and slushies taste especially good if the drinks have cooled before being put into the slush machine.
Alcohol can be added to any of our flavours, whether it is a standard or a cocktail. However, to reduce the chilling time, please add the alcohol to the machine after the slush mix has already been chilled. Alternatively you can use a special frozen cocktail machine.
Whether your food truck specializes in smoothies and frozen drinks or your restaurant's menu needs more exciting dessert and beverage options, installing a slush machine in your kitchen can make all the difference.
