Designed with an easy to use 'freezer core', this slush machine excels at making large quantities of slush, tea, frozen coffee, cappuccino, lemonade, smoothies, milkshakes, alcoholic drinks and other frozen beverages. Usually with any kind of blender or smoothie maker, loud noises are inevitable. If you are running an upscale resort or hosting parties/other fun get-togethers, the LEEVOT frozen drink machine would be a great choice, it is much quieter and you can even talk to people while making your preferred frozen drink.
If you want to make a slushy juice or cocktail you will have to learn how to operate a slushy machine.
Slushy machines are easy to use and they create a smooth frozen drink by freezing and mixing liquids. A typical slushy machine consists of a condenser, expansion valve, compressor and evaporator. The horizontal blade is another key component which helps to create the consistency of the slushy without freezing the water molecules.
By activating the cooling system, the concentrated liquid in the water moves through the different components to the freezing cylinder where a stirrer or churn mixes the frozen liquid to create a uniform consistency. Some slush machines may also have a compressor to help maintain the correct temperature in the freezing chamber.
Choosing a smoothie maker depends on your needs. Countertop models are suitable for small businesses or home use, while freestanding models are best for high-volume operations or large events. You can also choose a single-flavour or multi-flavour machine.
The time required to prepare frozen foods with a slush machine varies, with some taking 40-50 minutes and others only 10-15 minutes. Whatever your preference, an ice slush machine is a great way to create delicious, refreshing drinks.
The correct operation of a slush machine can help you to create the perfect slush and give your customers a good drinking experience. Therefore performing the correct operating steps is the first step you need to take.

There are several components of the machine that you need to understand, from the plastic bowl, the lid, the mixing motor, the dispensing handle, the drip tray, the operating panel, the selector switch, to the various stickers.
There will be various stickers attached around the machine, all of which are safety signs, labels and logos, and there will also be some requirements for the installation of the slurry machine, and the water to sugar ratio requirements for the concentrate.
Safety requirements include:
Keep the machine away from heat generating sources.
Install at a distance of not less than 300mm from the wall.
It is strictly forbidden to put water into the beverage container when the machine is in operation.
The plastic bowl must be washed frequently.
Pour the pre-mixed concentrate into the bowl at a level that is below the minimum water level, but not above the maximum water level of the machine. The minimum and maximum values are marked on the tank. Make sure that the liquid added is diluted. The sugar content of the concentrate must not be less than 13% when making slushies and not less than 10% when making cold drinks. When preparing your own solution, try to keep the sugar to water ratio at 1:6.5.
More sugar means slower freezing times, but if there is not enough sugar, it will result in coarser drinks and larger ice crystals, which could freeze your machine.
Like any other machine, a frozen drink machine is operated by a switch. After switching on the mains and turning on the main switch, the compressor starts working at this point. The plastic bowls have a separate switch and operating panel so that each bowl can be operated independently. This means that when one bowl has run out of slush, the other bowl can still continue to operate.
If you want to make a slush, then you need to set the machine to slush mode and then set the slush hardness. The hardness can be set from "1-9", "0" is not cooling and is only used for cleaning, usually set to 4. If you think the slush is too hard, you can set the number to "1-3", if you think the slush is too soft, you can adjust the number higher than "4".
If you want to make a frozen drink then you will need to set the panel to cold drink mode. Switch to the cold drink function by pressing the changeover switch, where the cold drink machine function indicator lights up. Set the temperature, also in the "1-9" range, and adjust the number to your target temperature. The temperature corresponding to each gear can be referred to as follows: display "1" for 8°; display "2" for 6°; display "3" for 4°; display "4" beverage temperature of 2°; "5" beverage temperature of 0°; and so on.
If you want your slurry to be in top condition when served, whether at your home or in your business, check out some of the following slurry machine tips.
It is best to use chilled drinks or water when making slurry. Using hot water will keep the machine frozen for longer, which is not a good option for you.
Make sure your commercial slurry machine is in a horizontal position and that it must be placed on a sturdy counter top or table, otherwise the machine may tip over and be damaged.
Ensure that the machine's drip tray is correctly seated. When working, water will drip from the spout and the drip tray will be needed to catch the dripping water.
Get the ratio of sugar to water right. We usually recommend a sugar to water ratio of 1:6.5, with a sugar content of 13% in slush mode and 10% in cold drink mode.
The machine comes with a cleaning mode, you just need to set the operating panel to "0" to clean automatically.
There are a number of factors that can affect the formation of a slushie. These factors include the ambient temperature, the initial material temperature, the sugar level, etc. Generally speaking, when you are using frozen ingredients it will take longer to produce the finished product. If you want faster results then you can pre-chill the blended concentrate in the fridge to around 0°C first. If the ingredients appear icy, you will need to mix the ice well before putting it into the bowl.
If you fill the ingredients when the level in the cone is halfway down, this will also reduce the time it takes for the smoothie to form.
The maximum time to produce slush varies from half an hour to an hour, as long as you follow the instructions.
To ensure that the slush machine process is not compromised, you need to ensure that a number of things are accounted for:
Always freeze the contents for at least an hour before closing the product and leaving the material inside. This will prevent ice from forming, which could damage the spiral and motor.
Make sure you never turn off the slurry supply switch when the slurry is in the tank, as this can damage the motor and spiral.
Keep the frozen ice maker in a well-ventilated area to avoid overheating.
The quality of the slurry is entirely up to you. As long as you follow the exact guidelines, you will be more likely to make the perfect ice slush.
After the commercial slushie machine has finished its work for the day, you must empty out all the leftovers and put them in the fridge to chill, then clean the plastic bowl. Turn the machine on, pour water into the bowl (preferably at 35°C), set the digital setting to "0" and let the machine run to clean the sugar and other residues etc. that remain inside.
To prolong the life of your machine, you need to give your granita machine a good cleaning on a regular basis. Many slurry machines have a cleaning or washing mode which makes it easy for you to maintain them. But these cleaning modes are not enough to completely clean your machine. You will also need to regularly dismantle the machine components and thoroughly clean each part of the assembly using a dilute cleaning solution.
Before you start a full cleaning, make sure your machine is switched off and unplugged. Always follow the manufacturer's user manual for cleaning your slurry machine. As a general rule, you want to make sure that you thoroughly clean all silicone parts. Other parts including: the propeller, the beverage tank drum and the discharge handle section should all be cleaned.
Also, clean excess dust from the various vents, filters and coils to keep the machine running properly and to prolong its life.
It is important to keep your smoothie maker clean and well maintained for optimum performance. Here are some quick tips:
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintenance.
Clean your machine after each use to prevent bacteria build-up and ensure you get the best quality smoothies.
Some machines have a self-cleaning feature that can make this process easier.
To clean the machine, unplug it, allow it to defrost, remove the freezing cylinder and other removable parts and wash them thoroughly with a mild detergent and warm water.
Wipe the rest of the machine with a damp cloth, making sure to get into any crevices or hard-to-reach areas.
Before reassembling the machine, rinse and wipe down the dry parts thoroughly.
